Self-service kiosks need a screen that strangers trust at first touch, that keeps working after thousands of taps a day, and that holds up outdoors. DCL Technologies, Inc. (DCLTEK) supplies touch monitors, all-in-one touch computers and outdoor display stacks for kiosk builders and integrators, with outdoor solutions engineered for heat rejection, solar load, UV exposure and vandalism.

What we supply

Industrial touch monitors: 10 in. to 85 in., open-frame, panel-mount, VESA or enclosed, with USB HID touch that needs no driver.
General Touch AIO computers: all-in-one touch PCs with Windows, Linux or Android.
Outdoor touch monitors: sunlight-readable, sealed monitors for outdoor kiosks.
Private label: custom logo, bezel color, packaging, OSD lockout and boot screen.

What we design for

  • Indoor and outdoor readability
  • Vandal-resistant glass and impact ratings
  • Single-cable USB-C options
  • Driver-free USB HID touch on Windows, Linux and Android
  • Private labeling for your brand
  • Heat rejection, solar load, UV and vandal resistance for outdoor kiosks

Built for outdoor kiosks

An outdoor kiosk screen fights the sun, the weather and the public every day. Our outdoor display solutions are engineered for all four of the things that take them down:

Heat rejection. Optical bonding and anti-reflective coatings cut reflections so the screen stays readable at lower backlight brightness, which means less heat to remove from the enclosure. IR-cut films keep infrared energy out of the display stack.
Solar load. High-clearing-point liquid crystal panels resist the blackout that standard LCDs suffer in direct sun, and high-brightness displays typically run from 1,000 to 5,000 nits. For severe sites we recommend enclosure venting or active cooling and help you plan it.
UV exposure. UV-stable adhesives and coatings limit yellowing and delamination, so the screen still looks right years into service.
Vandalism. Chemically strengthened or tempered cover glass from 3 to 6 mm, laminated and anti-shatter options, and impact ratings in the IK08 to IK10 range depending on design, with touch tuned to work through thick glass.

Add IP65 to IP67 front sealing for rain and washdown, and see our outdoor kiosk design white paper for enclosure strategies, or browse sunlight-readable touch monitors in the catalog.

Questions customers ask

Do your touch monitors need drivers?

No. Touch connects over USB HID, so it works without a driver on Windows, Linux and Android.

Can you private-label the monitor?

Yes. Custom logo, bezel color, packaging, OSD lockout and boot screen are available.

How do we keep an outdoor kiosk from overheating?

Start with the right display stack: optical bonding and AR coatings let you run lower brightness, and high-clearing-point panels resist solar blackout. Our free white paper on heat in outdoor kiosks covers enclosure design strategies.

What warranty do monitors carry?

A 1-year depot warranty is standard, some standard products carry 3 years, and extended warranty is available.

Will an outdoor kiosk screen black out or yellow in the sun?

Not when the display stack is specified for it. High-clearing-point panels resist solar blackout, IR-cut films and optical bonding reduce heat load, and UV-stable adhesives and coatings limit yellowing over years of sun exposure.

How vandal-resistant are your outdoor kiosk displays?

We use chemically strengthened or tempered cover glass from 3 to 6 mm, with laminated and anti-shatter options, and impact ratings in the IK08 to IK10 range are achievable depending on design. Touch is tuned to work reliably through the thicker glass.
