Medical device programs run for years, so the display you qualify has to stay the same from unit one to unit ten thousand, clean up after every patient and never change without notice. DCL Technologies, Inc. (DCLTEK) supplies embedded displays, touch panels, monitors and cable assemblies for medical equipment, with select models already certified for medical use, support for your certification program, and US-based engineering and quality support backed by in-country oversight at our factory partners.
What we supply
What we design for
- Cleanable, sealed fronts with flush cover glass
- Touch that works with gloves and through cleaning-fluid residue
- Wide viewing angles and accurate color (IPS panels)
- Lot traceability, CoC and FAI documentation
- No changes without your written approval (PCN process)

Certifications medical customers ask for
Medical equipment makers usually need the display, touch and power path to support their device-level safety and EMC approvals. DCLTEK works with the standards our medical customers ask for most:
When your design needs its own certification, DCLTEK manages the program for you with accredited test labs, as we did for a hospital monitor family certified to UL standards.
Built for long medical lifecycles
Requalifying a display in a regulated device is expensive and slow, so we plan for longevity from the start:
Questions customers ask
Can your displays be used in a regulated medical device?
Yes. DCLTEK supplies displays and touch panels as components for medical equipment, and select DCLTEK touch monitors are already certified to UL 60601-1 for medical use. We provide specifications, drawings, RoHS and REACH documents, test reports and lot traceability for your design history and regulatory files. Device-level certification stays with the device maker, and when your design needs its own certification we manage the program with accredited test labs.
Will touch work with surgical gloves and after disinfecting?
Yes. We tune PCAP controller firmware for gloved and wet operation and recommend cover glass and coatings that tolerate repeated cleaning.
How do you control changes to a qualified part?
No changes without your written approval. We issue a Product Change Notice in advance for any change to components, materials, process or manufacturing site, and FAI reports are available after any change.
What happens when a panel goes end-of-life?
We typically receive 4 to 6 months’ notice of a component or material end-of-life and notify you right away. Then we work with you on a go-forward plan: a last-time buy, stocking of critical materials, or expedited samples of a matched replacement, so you can plan requalification instead of reacting to it.
Can we audit the factory?
Yes. Our factory partners are ISO-certified, have passed many customer audits, and our in-country project manager will host your team or your audit partner.
Which certifications matter for displays in medical devices?
The main ones are IEC/UL 60601-1 for medical electrical equipment safety and IEC 60601-1-2 for EMC. Displays in non-patient-facing equipment often fall under IEC/UL 62368-1, which replaced UL 60950-1. Select DCLTEK touch monitors are already certified to UL 60601-1, and we support certification programs for custom designs.
How long will a display stay available without changes?
DCLTEK designs for a minimum of 3 to 5 years without change, and many products run longer. Nothing changes without your written approval, and if a component reaches end-of-life we typically have 4 to 6 months’ notice to plan a last-time buy or a qualified replacement with you.
