Industry: Gaming and amusementProduct: C-shaped 43″ 4K enclosed monitor with addressable LED lightingOutcome: A modified off-the-shelf unit instead of a ground-up design

The customer

An OEM in the gaming and amusement space.

The design request

The customer wanted a cabinet display that draws players in.

  • A curved LCD.
  • LED lighting around the perimeter.
  • Touch that performs as players expect.

What DCLTEK did

  1. Brought in General Touch, a well-known expert with a deep catalog of gaming monitors. DCLTEK is a North American partner of General Touch.
  2. Ran a three-way collaboration between General Touch, the customer and DCLTEK.
  3. Made slight modifications to an off-the-shelf General Touch unit instead of designing from scratch.

The result

A C-shaped, 43″ 4K enclosed monitor with fully addressable LED perimeter lighting.

Why it matters

Gaming cabinets sell on looks. Starting from a proven General Touch design and modifying it gets an eye-catching display without a ground-up development.
